About Mahinda College

Mahinda College established in 1892 by Col. Henry Steele Olcott to give English education to the Buddhist children of Galle. This school was established on a modest scale with very few children and teachers. At present Mahinda college is one of the greatest Buddhist schools in Asia with a student population exceeding 3750. The academic staff exceeding 175 teachers.
